The Belize Zoo is the central location for wildlife conservation in Belize. From tapirs, to harpy eagles, jaguars, and so much more, the Zoo is an educational resource that is the highlight of our trips to the country. Since 2020, we have been working with the Zoo to offer virtual tours for schools, community groups and corporate functions. These tours, called Belize Zoo Live! Tours help support the Zoo during the economic crisis created by the current pandemic.
The Belize Raptor Center is dedicated to educate and inspire the conservation of raptors and their habitat. Rescue and rehabilitate injured and orphaned birds of prey. During our in-country trips, our participants get to experience the wonders of these birds, and the mission of the Raptor Center, first hand.
The Belize Wildlife and Referral Clinic (BWRC) is a Belizean non-profit organization founded in 2011 with the help of a host of wildlife partners and friends. Their mission is to support wildlife conservation; animal health and welfare; and the veterinary profession in Belize through medical services, education, research, and collaboration. As one of our Giving-Back partners in Belize, we have been able to provide medical supplies and microscopes to the Clinic on each of Belize trips.
In 2020 we partnered with WAMY Community Action, a non-profit in the mountains of North Carolina, to provide a virtual summer camp for at-risk students.
ViVA BELiZE serves as our host location for many of our trips to Belize. Dedicated to the highest quality of Guest Services delivered with a sense of warmth Belizean friendliness, Viva provides our attendees with lodging, transportation and excursions, both in the rainforests and the along the coral reefs.
