Honeybees are an important link in a significant number of terrestrial ecosystems, serving as pollinators for thousands of flowering plants. From almonds to soybeans to blueberries, honeybees play a crucial role to the agricultural community; however, habitat loss, use of pesticides, invasive pests, and climate change all serve to threaten honeybee populations. In this new virtual tour, Inspire EdVentures presents the science of beekeeping, the ecological importance of bees, and how you and your community can become involved in bee conservation.
