Virtual Tours

We want all of our tours to be interactive, allowing you to engage directly with the experts at the host locations. These events are also located in regions where data coverage is limited (barrier islands, rainforests, etc.). For those reasons, we typically recommend that group sizes be kept to less than 20 people. However, if you have a larger group, please feel free to contact us for options.

Depending on the host location, tours typically last between 60 and 75 minutes, with time at the end for questions. However, we can work with you to provide shorter or longer events if desired.

Yes! We will work closely with you and the host location to develop a tour that satisfies your group’s needs.

We recommend that you schedule your tour at least 2 weeks in advance so that we can ensure that the host location has experts on staff at that time. Also, some locations are closed during specific seasons, or may have limited availability. Contact us for more information.
Travel Information

We follow the guidelines of the CDC in the United States, and of the respective health agencies in our host country. Since these conditions are in a constant state of change, we will let you know in advance if there are any required vaccinations or tests. Travel insurance is required for all Inspire EdVentures trips. These policies will not only cover any in-country emergencies, but also trip cancellation due to weather, natural disasters, illness, or family emergencies. Inspire EdVentures is not responsible for delays or cancellations associated with weather, illness, medical emergencies, or in-country events.
In addition, some destinations may require additional insurance before passing through customs. We will provide you with information on your specific destination in advance of your trip.

Belize is an English-speaking country in Central America. Spanish is also spoken in the country. The currency exchange is fixed at $2 BZE = $1 USD, although at some locations there may be an exchange fee (usually resorts).

For each of our Edventures we will provide you with a packing list prior to your event. Generally speaking, you should plan on packing light and be prepared for the local weather conditions. In addition, you should note that electrical systems in our host countries may not match those in the US, and thus some appliances (such as hair dryers) will not work.

Mobile phone coverage is available on all of our trips, but not necessarily at every location. Most locations have WiFi available in the rooms, with the exception of some of the rainforest locations. Check with your provider before leaving on international charges associated with your account. We will provide emergency contact information as part of your EdVenture Package.

Deposit: A $500 deposit, and completion of the registration paperwork is required to start your booking process. Due to the limited number of seats on our Edventures, we can only refund this deposit in full during the 7-day period following your payment. After that time, a 30% charge will be deducted from the deposit amount. Refunded deposits will be returned to the client within 15 days of cancellation. All cancellation requests must be made in writing or by email.
Payments: Full payment for your EdVenture is due 45 days before the departure date. If payment is not made by that time, Inspire EdVentures may cancel your booking and refund your deposit (and any payments) with a 30% charge.

Inspire EdVentures operates a Donor-Assisted Charitable Fund through Impact Assets. The fund's name is Inspire Me! Fund (code: 391335). These funds are only used to fund our scholarship and Giving Back campaigns, and can’t be used by IE for any other purpose. Please contact us for more information.
