Join the Conservation Program Manager, Jamal Andrewin-Bohn and the expert staff of zookeepers, on an excursion to the “best little zoo in the world.” You will gain in-depth knowledge about the wildlife native to Belize, such as the jaguar, tapir, spider monkey, scarlet macaw, white-nosed coati, collared peccary, and so much more! Additionally, you will learn the importance of protecting the habitats that sustain these animals, and what the zoo is doing to help.

Meet raptor ambassadors, such as the black hawk eagle, spectacled owl, gray headed kite, and orange breasted falcon, with the Founder, Sarah Mann, and the Director, Robert Howes. Learn about their efforts to rescue and rehabilitate the injured and orphaned birds of prey as you witness these beautiful animals fly from perch to perch. You will be educated on how the center works to limit human incident conflicts, including shooting, poaching, and habitat destruction.

Come with us on our latest EdVenture to the apiary at Alderman Lane Honey in Petersburg Illinois. There we will join our IE co-founder Dave Cox on a tour of a working bee farm! This multi-seasonal experience can will help you appreciate the importance of bees, all while benefiting organizations that support conservation of bee habitats!
